TAG Heuer ladies and men watches elevate swiss watches timekeeping to an art.

Recognised the world over for both craftsmanship and accuracy, Swiss watches are synonymous with luxury watches… and within this remarkable universe, TAG Heuer timepieces stand as the peak achievement in watchmaking. With progressive designs and technological innovation, they represent more than mere sports watches or luxury timepieces – they embody a class apart.

Indeed, TAG Heuer chronograph watches stand alone as the summit of Swiss watch timekeeping accuracy. In a sublime union of speed and precision, the company is the official partner of Oracle Team USA – champion of the America’s Cup – and of renowned Formula 1 car manufacture McLaren. In addition, its luxury sport watches serve as the official timekeepers of the Monaco Grand Prix – one of the most illustrious races in the world.

Timelessly elegant yet decidedly modern, a TAG Heuer watch combines hand workmanship with the best in cutting-edge technology, for ladies’ and men’s watches representing rich heritage, distinctive quality and novel developments. With automatic watches that feature high frequencies between 21,600 and 360,000 vibrations per hour (as with the Calibre 360), exceptional mechanical accuracy is not the exception, but the rule. As such, numerous automatic watch movements by TAG Heuer boast the respected Official Swiss Chronometer Control (C.O.S.C.) certificate.

From an aesthetic standpoint, TAG Heuer timepieces are no less remarkable. These luxury Swiss watches bring together a perfect union of premium materials selected and crafted by expert specialists. By combining the very best traditional materials, like lustrous gold, resistant steel, supple calfskin or the finest alligator leather, or by accentuating them with the latest modern innovations, such as state-of-the-art rubber and textiles, TAG Heuer erases the lines between the conventional perceptions of sports and luxury watches. Quality finishes that include black PVD finish, delicate brushing and ruthenium coating are as distinguished as they are inventive, and as aesthetically pleasing as they are practical.

Equally outstanding are TAG Heuer swiss watches for women – the perfect embodiment of discrete sophistication. Its diamond watches, for instance, bring a hint of dazzling femininity to the legendary men’s watch models on which the TAG Heuer name was built: the Monaco, the Aquaracer, the TAG Heuer Carrera, the Link and the TAG Heuer Formula 1. Stylish ladies’ timepieces boasting sumptuous materials and restrained lines, these feats of watchmaking perpetuate the expert artistry and flawless precision that have marked the brand’s identity for over one hundred years.

Visually beautiful, unequivocally dependable, perfectly fashioned, elegantly avant-garde…TAG Heuer watches go far beyond luxury or precision timepieces; they are the summit in Swiss skill and expertise, thrust boldly forward into the unknown to redefine swiss ladies and men watches.

Design Lab

It starts with a spark, a synapse firing in the dark. The spark catches fire and grows into a storm – a whirlwind of ideas from some of the best design minds in the world. In the design lab, the brainstorming process is the beginning of any new TAG Heuer timepiece. And producing the right answers is a matter of asking the right questions. During brainstorming for the Monaco V4 concept watch the designers asked, “How can we totally reinvent the basic wheel and pinion movement of a watch?” The answer: the Monaco V4 and its revolutionary belt-driven mechanical transmission.

From the storm of ideas emerges a shape - an initial freehand sketch which captures the pure lines of a new TAG Heuer. The sketch is then given volume by 3D rendering, and then several prototypes are made and thoroughly tested. Meanwhile, the product development team are examining the technical specifications of the design. It is their job to solve some of the fundamental problems in precision watchmaking: How will the watch be watch powered? How will it transmit stored energy? What materials guarantee the level of precision, reliability and quality required over the long term? The avant-garde design of the Calibre S chronograph movement, for example, required TAG Heuer experts to make a special effort to minimize the weight of parts and materials in order to maximise precision.

Albert Einstein said, “If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it,” words that TAG Heuer Design Lab have taken to heart. It is this ability to push beyond the barriers of convention and leap into the unknown that makes TAG Heuer design teams so consistently innovative. An innovation which is consistently rewarded by peer recognition and commercial success. Recent collaborations with designer Christophe Behling on pieces like the Monaco Calibre 360 LS Concept Chronograph (winner of the prestigious Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve, Red Dot and iF Product Design awards) or the Grand Carrera Calibre 36RS Caliper Chronograph (Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève 2008 and Best Chronograph of the Year at the Salon International de Alta Relojeria (SIAR) 2008) have shown time and time again why TAG Heuer remains at the cutting edge of Swiss avant-garde.
